I can’t lie, my friend – I wish that autumn lasted longer on the East Coast! I know winter doesn’t technically hit us until December. But I could always do with a little more crisp air and crunchy leaves before it gets freezing outside! How about you? Fall is also such a great season for fashion! You don’t have to hide everything under a coat just yet. There are many ways to make a statement this time of year. Let me get you ready for the official turn of the season with my Polished Finds: Pre-Fall 2023!
As always, I’m going to break these down into a handful of categories for you! I’ve been watching the trends, and I had my finger on the pulse of New York Fashion Week, which concluded on Wednesday. So everything I’m giving you is current, on-trend, and varied enough that I know you’ll find something you love! And even if you don’t like some of these specific picks – hone in on the style you like, and let that be your guide! POLISHED FINDS: PRE-FALL 2023
Outer Layers
Depending on where you live, your fall may be extra chilly, or it might be not too dissimilar from spring! But regardless of your forecast, you’ll be able to stay on trend. A statement vest or a duster with a subtle print will do the trick!
Dresses
What I love about fall dresses is that you can still keep sporting vibrant colors, but you can start adding in darker prints, too! And that applies whether you’re in the office, at a wedding, or headed to brunch!
Sweaters
Leave your chunky rib knits in storage for now! Fall sweaters are all about eye-catching details and interesting cuts, as well as colors you don’t expect. Don’t hesitate to wear one as a blouse, but layer one if you’re so inclined!
Bottoms
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love that wide-leg pants are here to stay! They’ll take you from day to night with ease. And I also love a structured skirt! Both of these picks can be dressed up or down!
Blouses
Whether your fall is a little warmer or you’ve had to start bringing a light jacket with you when you leave the house, these will all suit you! Try out a different neckline or an alternate length of top to challenge what you usually reach for. You might surprise yourself!
