Lover of fashion, passionate about personal image, and former fashion executive now dedicated to assisting professional women level up!
My friends, fall is almost upon us! (Well, maybe you wouldn’t know that if you’re still feeling the heat like we are in the DMV!) But that doesn’t mean you can’t prepare for those temps to go down! I love fall fashion because there are endless options – especially because you can layer! Let’s talk Fall 2023: Top 5 Trends For The Polished Woman!
If you know me, you know I’m all about getting specific. Choosing a category (think a turtleneck or blazer – which you’ll see below!) and experimenting with different styles from there is a great start. But you ALSO know that we don’t just speak in trends around here! If all you’re doing is trying to keep up with the trends, then you’re not really tuned into your personal style. You need to figure out whether they work for YOU, and how to manage what you DON’T like! You know I won’t steer you wrong, though, so let’s get into it!

Now what I love about a good turtleneck is that it doesn’t EVER have to be boring! You can go for the traditional look… or you can go for a mock neck! And who needs a turtleneck to always have sleeves? We don’t! Give that combo a try!
This is THE SEASON for leather (or faux leather, if that’s what you prefer!). And it’s not just jackets! Leather dresses will always make a serious statement. And leather skirts and pants can always be dressed up or down!
I’m going to be real here – I hope this trend never goes away! Wide leg pants – especially when they’re high waisted – are flattering on pretty much every single body type. They go with everything!
Belted blazers are such an elegant way to layer your look! They’ve got a softer feel while still keeping the structure of a traditional blazer, and it feels like you’re wearing accessory – but it’s built into the piece!
I’ll never say no to a print – but you need to make sure they’re seasonally appropriate! The key here is focusing more on the print itself, and less on the color. You’ll notice that these pieces are a little less loud than their spring and summer counterparts, but they still scream FALL!
