So I’ve spent many hours reviewing all of the Fall 2023 fashion shows in all of the major cities that hold Fashion Weeks, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve seen! The pandemic did one hell of a job on the fashion industry. There was so much uncertainty and upheaval, and no one knew where we would really end up. And because of that, I found reviewing the thousands of incredible looks from the Fall 2023 collections to be refreshing and inspiring! Fashion is back! Whether or not you’re buying items straight off the runway, these are the looks that will determine what you’ll be seeing (and wearing!). Everything trickles down from here, and I can never get enough of seeing the source!
This season is all about the individual and expressing yourself! It’s all about being FREE to rock anything from vibrant colors to the sophisticated neutrals. The different fashion houses around the globe have finally reestablished their creativity post-pandemic. They’re making strong, unique, distinguishable statements in their collections. Let’s go, my friend – it’s time to update our looks and get ready to have an amazing fall season!
Polished Picks: The Top 5 Fall 2023 Runway Shows
Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2023 show especially highlighted one of my favorite categories: SUITS! The lines were sharp and the tailoring was crisp. The entire collection was fresh! There was nothing boring about the classic silhouette of a suit here – everything carried the signature McQueen edge. The dresses all shone with incredible detail, too. Couldn’t you see yourself in some of these amazing suits? (There’s a reason I listed this collection first, y’al!)
Prada
Prada’s Fall 2023 collection emphasized simple, versatile separates in solid colors, tailored jumpsuits and dresses, oversized blazers that go over virtually everything, and chic outerwear. Prada has always had the elevated everyday look down – their clothes give you that “I just threw this on and I still look impossibly great” kind of vibe! Remember when I said “sophisticated neutrals”? Well here you go!
Max Mara
Max Mara’s Fall 2023 show began by emphasizing neutral, colored clean lines, and then offered pops of muted pastels in mix-and-match, seasonally appropriate fabrics. And the collection also showed off the brand’s longstanding capability to nail suiting separates! I’ve always loved this brand, because they make elegance accessible to the modern professional woman! They offer something elevated for my clients, no matter where their lives may take them.
Erdem
The DRAMA! Erdem’s Fall 2023 collection was BOLD, unapologetic, and often otherworldly. There were multiple pieces in pops of eye-catching color and prints, not to mention an emphasis on sleeves, sheers, ruffles, decorated bodices, and textures! As an obvious departure from the previous collections mentioned – it was incredible to see this one shine in its own unique way! This collection screams, “I AM WHO I AM!”
Fendi
If you’re the kind of woman that is hoping to add elevated, edgy streetwear and evening wear to your wardrobe, then Fendi’s Fall 2023 collection could not be more your jam, my friend. Fendi’s models strutted leathers, laces, pleats, and buttons in pieces that lived in a flowy world in one moment and a sharp, clean-cut one the next. I especially loved their form-flattering maxi dresses – each one more different than the last in terms of texture, color, and occasion!
