How to Accept Your Current Body to Create Personal and Professional Confidence
As someone whose body has been everything from a size 6 to a size 20, I’m proud to say that I’ve learned to show myself grace and accept my body at every size. Now, I’m not saying that I like having extra weight on these bones, but what I do know is that feeling sorry for myself and not dressing my body as it is can and has definitely had an impact on my professional success. Let me show you how to accept your current body to create personal and professional confidence!
As women, there are a million different things that can impact our weight at different times, but business doesn’t wait for us – it happens all the time! During Covid, so many of us went up and down the scale as we lounged around the house, but now it’s time to make our way outside. Therefore, we need to accept our current bodies. And while that might be easier said than done, I know for a fact that you can look good all the way up and down the scale. It’s important to dress your body as it is today! If you do, you’ll be infinitely more confident as you conduct business and strive towards your goals.
Here are three things you can do right now to accept your current body to create the personal + professional confidence you desire:
- GIVE YOURSELF GRACE. Change your mindset about your body and choose to accept what it is today!
- INVEST IN A SMALL CAPSULE OF WARDROBE BASICS THAT FIT. Choose your favorite dark neutral color (black or navy). The dark color will absorb light and make you look slimmer.

- BUY A FEW ACCESSORIES YOU LOVE. Nothing distracts the eye more than a great accessory. For example, if you want to draw attention away from your midsection, wear a statement necklace or earrings that will draw attention upward to your face.
- OWN YOUR GREATNESS. Who you are and what you bring to the table have nothing to do with your size – they come from within. All you have to do is dress to reflect your inherent greatness. And that’s what I’m here to help you do!
