Take the QUIZ!

The key to getting dressed in the morning with ease is having the basics you need to pull your look together effortlessly. Many times we focus on the fashion elements and forget about the items we need to simply piece a look together.

Have you ever had the perfect blouse that you love, but can’t figure out what to pair it with? If so, most likely you were missing that classic pencil skirt or tailored pair of slacks without the bells and whistles. You know, the boring items that many of us walk past in the stores because we head to the mall for the FASHION!!!

Since Fall/Winter 2019 is right around the corner, I want to give you a list of the basics you’re going to need to stay warm without compromising your style. I recommend purchasing these items first if you don’t already have them to ensure you have what you need to anchor your looks with absolutely no stress this season. Get out your shopping list and get ready to take notes!

5 Basics You’ll Need this Fall

Tailored Slacks – Straight Leg or Ankle, take your pick. Wide legs are making a comeback also, if you’re into being fashion forward.

Dark Denim – Classic and Distressed will drive the look home, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with having both.

Black Sweater – Turtle neck, Crew or V-Neck fitted Sweaters are the best! Perfect for throwing on with a fashion skirt for a business meeting or a pair of jeans for the weekend.

Statement Coat – This is where you let your individuality show! A Tailored Coat for the seasoned professional on the move, or a long Puff Coat for the professional that has a vibe. Just make sure you choose a neutral color that’s versatile enough to wear with multiple looks.

Classic Booties – This is where comfort and function come into play. Pointed toe or sleekly round. Just make sure that you pick a heel that will allow you to function all day!
