Have you ever gotten upset because you swore you were a size 10, but while trying things on, the size that fits is a size 12, if not 14? It’s not you boo! It’s all about finding the right brands for your body.
Well, my friend, welcome to the world of fashion! In the fashion industry there is no standard sizing, therefore it is important to find fashion labels that cut for your body.
Take a look at the tags of your favorite items, and write down their makers. Labels like to be consistent when developing product for their ideal customers, so it’s safe to say that you can expect a consistent fit when you identify your core labels.
I’m not saying to only shop your core brand, but in a pinch it’s nice to know where you can find something quickly. And if you’re not much of a shopper, you can cruise the labels website, pick your items to order, and be DONE!
The fashion industry caters to 5 overall categories of women’s clothing:
- Junior – Small in frame, not very curvy
- Regular – Mature body with natural curves
- Plus Size – Larger scale body of all different shapes
- Petite – Very small body and features
- Tall – Need additional length for height
